Personal precautions - Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, safety goggles. Environmental precautions prevent from entering sewers or the immediate environment. In case of large spill, inform local police and/or fire brigade.

Methods for cleaning up - On soil Absorb onto inert material such as sand or earth. Place in secure container for recovery or disposal as Hazardous Waste. Residues should be deactivated or degraded to non-toxic components by the addition of a solution of 5% sodium Hypochlorite (household bleach) and 5% sodium bicarbonate. Deactivation should be complete in 30 minutes - On water None applicable.

Dispose of as Controlled Waste, via a licensed contractor ensuring that all national and local authority requirements are complied with. Contaminated packing should be disposed of as Hazardous Waste, as above, according to local authority guidelines. Washed and decontaminated packing should be disposed of as Controlled Waste. NB washings should also be disposed of as Hazardous Waste.
